Admissions
International applicants
DMU welcomes applicants from around the world. Most M.S. and Ph.D. programs are available fully online, with no F-1 visa required. Programs with on-campus components — including the Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology — follow the standard F-1 visa pathway.
What you’ll need
Transcript evaluation
Course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member service (WES, ECE, SpanTran, etc.) for any non-U.S. coursework.
English proficiency
TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test. Cutoffs vary by program; waivers possible for applicants who studied in English.
Financial documentation
For programs requiring an I-20, proof of funds for one academic year plus living expenses.
Format clarity
Online programs need no visa; hybrid programs require F-1 for on-campus residency dates; onsite programs require full F-1 status.
Country-specific guidance
DMU’s priority markets get dedicated guidance — transcript pathways, English proficiency expectations, visa notes, and financial documentation appropriate to each country. If yours isn’t listed yet, contact admissions directly.
